Painted Earth had been acquired by new owners with limited eCommerce experience. While the traditional retail business was performing well, they felt that a huge opportunity existed in the online retail space – especially given their niche yet highly desirable offering. Based on a recommendation of another client, they approached Cornell to build a new Shopify site and work on improving all aspects of UX. In addition, they wanted to evolve their branding and needed some guidance as to the best way to start promoting their business online, through both organic and paid search.

We set about a concentrated keyword-based SEO strategy from the off. This would help to increase Organic Traffic to the existing website whilst we worked on bringing the new website to life. Once the new site was ready for launch we were then able to bring across any organic gains that had been achieved on the old website.
The new online presence had to better display the growing range of products and artists offered in-store and online. This ranged from inspirational gifts of beautiful everyday craft products to unique, one-off pieces including limited edition work. We created a clean, fresh and functional online presence that captured the essence of the store and the personality of the new owners.
Once the new website was launched, we put the PPC campaign into action. Along with social media efforts, this helped to raise awareness of the new online store as well as the bricks and mortar store in Newcastle, Co. Down.
